How your bits are handled

Your text

• A bit you submit is stored against your account so you can see its analysis and re-run it later.
• It is used only to produce your analysis. It is not used to train any model, and it is not shared, published, or shown to other users.
• The analysis is sent to OpenAI to generate the scores and notes.
• You can delete a bit, which removes its analyses too.

Original material only

• Every bit must be confirmed as your own original material before it can be analyzed.
• This tool does not accept, store, or analyze other performers' material — no stand-up transcripts, no podcast clips, no one else's bits. Crediting the source does not change that.

What the score is

• The composite is a craft / structure score. It reads the writing — setup and punchline mechanics, misdirection, economy, rhythm, tag and callback potential — against documented stand-up craft technique.
• It is not a prediction of how funny a bit is or how a room will react. Comedy is audience- and moment-dependent.
• The accessibility dimension measures only how self-contained a joke is — how much outside knowledge a listener needs. It never scores or profiles audiences by demographic group.

Calibration

The 0–5 anchor descriptions behind each dimension are informed by stand-up craft literature and are still being validated with working comedians. Treat the numbers as a structured second read, not a verdict. More detail on how scoring works.
